General Evangelist Stephen Oluwatosin Oki was born on 7 July 1962 in Ilesa, Osun State, into the family of Elder Enoch Ojo Olanipakun Oki and Deaconess Deborah Omowunmi Oki.

EDUCATION BACKGROUND He began his primary education at Our Saviour's African Primary School, Ikirun and completed it at Christ African Church Primary School, Isale Ijebu, Osogbo in 1976.

For his post-primary education, he attended Awe High School, Awe, Oyo. "God being with him, he finished his Secondary School course most brilliantly, where he represented Oyo Zone in Ibadan at a big table tennis tournament. He was the Table Tennis Captain of his school for three years." He won prizes in academic brilliance, quiz contests and sports for himself to the glory of God.

He attended the University of Ilorin in Kwara state, Nigeria, from 1984 to 1988, where he earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. Hons) in Economics.

In the University, he continued his love for Table Tennis, and he represented his University at NUGA games for a table tennis tournament at the University of Port Harcourt. He was the Table Tennis Captain in the 1987/88 academic year.

He later went for a four-year theological course at Emmanuel College of Theology, Ibadan, where he obtained a Diploma in Theology in 1996. "His final sermon project there gave him a limelight in the college."

Also, he studied at the University of Ibadan, where he completed a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Guidance and Counselling in 1998.

EARLY WORK EXPERIENCE After his secondary education, he briefly worked as an office Clerk at Prince Balogun Motors, Bida, Niger State.

Later, he was employed as a Librarian by the Oyo State Schools Board and posted to Oke-Ado High School, Oke-Ado, Ibadan as the School's first Librarian. Mrs Jayesimi, the Principal of the School then took him as her son because of his enthusiasm for progress making. He later left the job in 1984 to further his studies.

After graduating from the University of Ilorin, he served through the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Kaduna State at the then Federal Office of Statistics Training School, Malali, Kaduna. There, he became a Lecturer.

SPIRITUAL JOURNEY & MINISTRY Stephen Oluwatosin Oki gave his life to Christ at a young age and was baptised in the Holy Spirit at age eight.

He became a full-time Evangelist serving at The Blood of Jesus Apostolic Church, Oke-Itunu, Mokola, Ibadan.

He was ordained a Pastor in 1990, promoted to Assistant General Evangelist in 1992, and ordained General Evangelist in 1996 by General Apostle/Prophet J. T. Durojaiye.

PASTORAL SERVICE IN BIACI He has served as a Pastor in various assemblies of the Blood of Jesus Apostolic Church International (BJACI): - Oke-Anu General Headquarters, Akintola Road, Ekotedo, Ibadan - Oke-Oluwa, Isale Ajegunle, Igboora - Oke-Imole, Adogba, Ibadan - Oke-Isodomo, Akure - Oke-Igbala Olorun, Ipaja, Lagos - Oke-Itunu, Mokola, Ibadan, where he served for nine years as Pastor-in-Charge (1990–2000)

In his capacity as the General Evangelist, he has embarked on an evangelistic tour tagged "The Visitation of the Most High God," visiting many assemblies of the church from September 1994 to date. This was as pronounced by the Founder and First President of the church, General Apostle/Prophet J. T. Durojaiye:

"Pastor Oki, iránsé mi, eni ti mo gbé iná Þmí Mímó mi sínú rè , yóò bè rè irín-ajo ihînrere; irín-ajo Emi Jésù Kristi ni, Þmi yóò sì pè lú rè …"

LEADERSHIP ROLES IN BIACI General Evangelist Oki has been a pioneer and visionary leader.

"He has been the Sole Administrator of the BJACI Pastors' as the Executive Secretary since 1992".

He is the chairman of the BJACI Welfare Committee and also the Chairman of the BJACI Convention Committee.

"He is the initiator and the first General Coordinator of the BJACI Youth Fellowship, and the fact that the BJACI Youth Fellowship was initially launched in November 1990 at BJACI Oke-Anu by General Apostle/Prophet J.T. Durojaiye".

Also, he is the pioneering Chairman of the Central Management Committee of BJACI Temidara L'Oluwawi Nursery and Primary School.

FAMILY LIFE On December 21, 1996, he married Deaconess Mobolaji Adebimpe Oki (JP), who is currently Deputy Director of Nursing, University College Hospital, Ibadan, and their union has been blessed with wonderful children.

MINISTRY IMPACT & RECOGNITION General Evangelist Stephen Oluwatosin Oki is widely recognised as a faithful servant of God, a dedicated teacher of the Word, and a committed leader in the Body of Christ.

He has been a source of inspiration to many through his life of service, humility, and spiritual devotion. His ministry continues to impact lives across Nigeria and beyond.

In the 90s, he was a regular preacher on Radio Nigeria, Nigeria Television Authority, Ibadan.

He has been privileged to preach at the Oyo State Government State House Chapel on two occasions.

His anchor words for evangelistic mission are: Wonderful is God and his Christ through the working of the Holy Spirit, "Be of good courage, and let us play the men for our people, and for the cities of our God: and the Lord do that which seemeth him good" (2 Samuel 10:12, KJV).

PERSONAL INTERESTS In addition to his love for tennis, volleyball, football, and sports in general — for some of which he has received accolades — he also loves singing and has composed many songs that have blessed, and continue to bless, the children of God all over the world.

CURRENT MINISTRY BASE He is presently at BJACI Strong Tower Cathedral, Liberation Land, Otun-Agbakin, Moniya, Ibadan.

Born on February 14, 1954, Pastor (Dr) Segun Aderiye is a consummate veteran broadcast journalist who has ruled the airwaves through the Nigerian Television Authority AIT, the Africa Independent Television AIT and other TV channels in Nigeria since 1973 when he joined the broadcasting world.

Business Administration, Masters (Olabisi Onabanjo University, (OOU) Ago-Iwoye, Nigeria) 2001.

He holds a Doctorate (Honoris Causa) in Christian Communication of the Christian Faith Theological Seminary, an affiliate of Kingsway Fellowship International, USA.

And a second doctorate in Political Marketing and Propaganda (Honoris Causa) of the Wisconsin International University, USA.

PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS Pastor(Dr) Aderiye is on record as the first General Manager of the International Services of the Africa Independent Television AIT.

And the first Director-General of the Broadcasting Service of Ekiti State, South-West, Nigeria.

INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION He was awarded World Ambassador for Peace in 2018, by the Universal Peace Federation UPF, an affiliate of the United Nations.

This was in recognition of his phenomenal academic and practical contributions to the peace process in Nigeria and across the world.

Particularly his journalistic coverage of the Liberian civil war in the 90s.

MINISTERIAL GIFTS & TALENTS Pastor(Dr) Segun Aderiye is a prolific author, a gospel singer, a well-sought-after minister of the Word, and a peace advocate.

CHURCH LEADERSHIP JOURNEY IN BIACI He was ordained full Pastor of The Blood of Jesus Apostolic Church, International in 1990, having risen through the ranks.

From choir master in the mid 70s to deacon in the early 80s and to Assistant General Evangelist in the late 90s.

INTERNATIONAL CERTIFICATION Also on February 4, 1998, Pastor Aderiye was certificated by Kingsway Fellowship International, Des Moine, USA to preach the gospel anywhere and everywhere in the World.

CURRENT CHURCH ROLES A member of the Apostolic Council of BIACI, and also member of Trustee.

He currently Pastors the Lagos assembly of the church in Nigeria, which he co-planted in 1985.

Pastor(Dr) Olusegun Aderiye is the General Publicity Secretary of the church.

Pastor Emmanuel Oluyemi Akinpelu is a graduate of Music. He majored in Performance for his first degree at the then University of Ife (Unife), Ile-Ife, SouthWest, Nigeria, now Obafemi Awolowo University.

He was a lecturer in the Department of Music, Alvan Ikoku College of Education, Owerri, Imo State (1985-86) and former Oyo State College of Education, Ilesa, now Osun State College of Education (1986-96). He later moved to International School, University of Lagos where he served as Head of the Department of Music from 1996, till he retired from active teaching in the year 2020.

EARLY LIFE & FAMILY He was born on the 11th of December, 1955 to the family of Prince Johnson Ibikunle Akinpelu of the Imose royal family of Imèsi-Ilé Kingdom, and Pastor (Mrs) Comfort Modupe Akinpelu (Nee Ogunbumni). His two parents had great musical talents which rubbed positively on him. His father was a choirmaster with one of the CAC churches, while the mother was an outstanding soprano lead singer during her maiden days at CAC, Onfyanrin-Ibadan.

EARLY MUSICAL BEGINNINGS Little wonder therefore that Pastor Akinpelu’s foray into music started early in life as a choir boy at CAC Olugbode, Odo-Ona, Ibadan (1967-74). From 1970-1974, he attended Comprehensive High School, Aiyetoro (CHSA), Egbado, of Ogun State, SouthWest Nigeria, where he was an active member of the School Choir and the Society for Dramatic Arts.

EARLY CAREER After his Secondary education, he got an appointment as a school teacher at St John’s School, Molete, Ibadan from July to December 1974 before he got admitted to the Federal School of Forestry, Naraguta, Jos, Benue-Plateau State, from January 1975-July 1976. With a Forestry Certificate, he got employed by Oyo State Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources (MANR) Department of Forestry, Utilisation Unit. In 1977, he got a government sponsorship for a specialist training in Forest Utilisation that took him to London and Stockholm, Sweden.

MUSIC MINISTRY IN BIACI Pastor Yemi Akinpelu started his music ministry at the Blood of Jesus Apostolic Church International (BIACI), Mosadoluwa Assembly, Odo-Ona, Ibadan in 1978 upon invitation to assist the choir, in preparation for an event; and eventually became the choirmaster of the church. He was later moved to BIACI, Oke-Iunu, Mokola, Ibadan in 1979 on the initiative of the late General Apostle J.T. Durojaiye. While there, he founded The BIACI CHORALE that laid the foundation for the present standard of church music tradition in the BIACI churches today. After his stint at the Oke Itunu assembly, he was transferred again to the Headquarter Church, Oke-Àánd, as the Choirmaster, in December 1980.

He was later appointed Choirmaster-General for the Blood of Jesus Apostolic Church International by the Founder and First President, General Apostle, Prophet J.T. Durojaiye. This was upon his graduation in 1985, from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ilé-Ifè, with a Bachelor of Arts (Music). In spite of being the Choirmaster General of BIACI, he bagged another appointment as the Organist and Master of the Music, for Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Omofe, Ilésà, following his appointment as a lecturer in the Department of Music, OSCOED, Ilesa in 1986. As a team player, Pastor Akinpelu served under the leadership of Mr Christopher Oyesiku; working closely with some Ghanaian lecturers in the department including Mr Augustine Bamfo, Vincent Richter, Kwasi Siaw Lattey and James Adunli Yankey who impacted his career as a professional church musician.

UNIVERSITY LEADERSHIP & ACHIEVEMENTS As an undergraduate at the then University of Ife, Pastor Yemi Akinpelu was one of the founding members of the Association of Music Students (AMUS) of the Department of Music, which later transformed to Music Students Association of Nigeria (MUSAN). He became the President of the association in 1983.

He conducted the much celebrated Terra Choral Group and Chamber Orchestra (Unife) from 1981-85 with several Concerts of Choral Classics to the group’s credit, presenting outstanding works of renowned Western and African composers. He was also the Music Director of Ayoro Voices, Ile-Ife. He performed creditably well to the extent of drawing a letter of commendation and attestation from Prof Wole Soyinka, the Nobel Laureate.

FOUNDING OF NIGHTINGALES INTERNATIONAL Akinpelu was unrelenting. In 1987, he founded the group, known then, as The Nightingale Choral Voices, Ilesa, shortly after his appointment as a Lecturer in the Department of Music, OSCOED, Ilesa.

The group, which had a remarkable impact on the musical atmosphere of Ilesa and environs, with many outstanding Choral Concerts and renditions, has since been re-christened Nightingales International, Ibadan upon relocation from Ilesha to Ibadan in 1992. Nightingales International, Ibadan, is still one of the most outstanding choral groups in Nigeria till today.

INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION & AWARDS CMG, as he is fondly called, has organized numerous high profile concerts of choral music, and has led the Nightingales to perform in several Anglican Cathedrals and other Pentecostal churches in Nigeria. For instance, in June 2009, he led the Nightingales to an international musical event at the National Arts Theatre in Accra, Ghana, and at The Apostolic Church, Teshie, also in Ghana, where he received an award of excellence.

This iconic music master has many other awards to his credit including:

Ibadan Music Society Award, in recognition of his selfless and outstanding contribution towards the development of music in Nigeria – (2015).

CAC Yaba Choir Award, in recognition of contribution to the development and growth of church music – (May 2019)

The Africa Classical Music Festival Award, in recognition of his immense contribution to world music – (November 2019)

Emmanuel Anglican Church, Ibadan Award He won the Hymn Medley composer of the year – (2021)

TRUSTEE POSITIONS He is a trustee of three distinguished bodies, namely:

- Guild of Organists of Nigeria (GONig) - The Blood of Jesus Apostolic Church International Inc. - Asiwaju of Remo Christians Choir Festival.

EXAMINATION ROLES Pastor Yemi Akinpelu was appointed the Chief Examiner and Chairman for the body of music examiners for both the National and International examination bodies in Nigeria. (NECO and WAEC). He was in the International Moderating Committee for SSCE Music (WAEC) both Nigeria and Ghana from 2006 – 2016.

He was appointed by the Executive Committee of the Guild of Organists of Nigeria (GONig) as the Chairperson for the Service Playing Certification (SPC) Examinations Board. July 2023.

CHURCH LEADERSHIP He was ordained BIACI Pastor in May 1990 and was appointed into the Apostolic Council of the church in 1998. He is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of the Church.

COMPOSITIONS He is a Church Music composer and arranger of several renowned Hymn-Medleys and other outstanding compositions, notable among which is, D'odimú.

PERSONAL LIFE He is married and blessed with children.

Pastor Taiwo Oluwawafunmi Oki was raised in a Christian home. Born on September 14, 1997 to the family of Pastor Stephen Oluwatosin Oki and Deaconess Adebimpe Bolaji Oki (JP). He is a native of Iléshà, in the Iléshà West Local Government area of Osun State, South-West, Nigeria.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND He began his formal education at Temidara L'Oluwawi Nursery and Primary School of The Blood of Jesus Apostolic Church International and completed it at the University of Ibadan Staff School in 2009.

He proceeded to Bodija International College for his secondary education. He later gained admission into the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), Ondo State, where he obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Agricultural Engineering in 2021.

Driven by his passion for theological education and advanced studies, he enrolled in the Postgraduate Diploma in Religious Studies program at the University of Ibadan, Oyo State.

Upon completion of this program, he aspires to further his studies by pursuing both a Master's degree and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.).

NATIONAL YOUTH SERVICE CORPS (NYSC) Following his undergraduate studies, he served through the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme in Cross River State.

He was deployed to Abia Community in Etung Local Government Area, a remote part of the state, where he served as a class teacher at Seat of Wisdom Nursery and Primary School of Mary, Mother of Perpetual Help Parish.

During his service year, he also provided leadership as president of the NYSC Community Development Service (CDS) Group.

WORK EXPERIENCE Before his NYSC programme, he had worked as an engineering intern at the Prestigious International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), Ibadan, and at the Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria, Jericho, Oyo State.

CHURCH SERVICE IN BIACI Pastor Taiwo calls The Blood of Jesus Apostolic Church International (BIACI) home, having been raised in the church. He serves the church faithfully in various capacities.

At BIACI Strongtower Cathedral, Moniya, Ibadan, he serves as a member of the choir and organist for many years now. He is also a Sunday School Bible teacher.

He remains actively engaged in the church's outreach and evangelistic programs. He is dedicated to various committees and groups within BIACI. He is committed to the BIACI National Youth body.

CHRISTIAN SERVICE IN NCCF His Christian service extends beyond BIACI. During his national service (NYSC), he joined the Nigeria Christian Corpers' Fellowship (NCCF), where he served in multiple capacities.

He volunteered as a Bible teacher, led his peers in Bible study and was privileged to teach a Bible session at one of the NCCF's national conferences.

He engaged in missions and humanitarian work, serving as a field counsellor during evangelism campaigns, where he provided spiritual guidance to community members.

Additionally, he was assigned to coordinate fellowship activities at the location of his primary place of assignment, where NCCF has its members, leading weekly prayers and Bible studies.

RURAL RUGGED EVANGELISM PROGRAM In addition to his service at NCCF, He was very instrumental to the success of the NCCF's Rural Rugged Evangelism program, a significant outreach program.

He liaised on behalf of the Fellowship with the village chiefs and community pastors to ensure the program's success.

This outreach gathered over 300 Christian youths [NCCF members] in a remote area for evangelistic and humanitarian work [distribution of basic needs, medical checkup, children's education and others].

Through this outreach, many people, including children, youths and the elderly, were blessed, and several made decisions to follow Christ.

SERVICE AT ASSEMBLIES OF GOD CHURCH While in Cross River State, where BIACI does not have a branch, he attended the Assemblies of God church. There, he demonstrated his love for church music by leading the youth choir. He composed and led several songs. He also dedicated himself to evangelism and church sanitation.

ORDINATION & LEADERSHIP On the 27th of January 2024, he was ordained as a pastor by the General Apostle E.I.O Oki. And was elevated to be a member of the Apostolic Council on Saturday, March 1st 2025.

LEADERSHIP TRAINING & ACHIEVEMENTS Pastor Taiwo was honoured to be selected for the Catalysing Leaders Training (CLT)—a leadership training programme hosted by the International Bible Advocacy Centre (IBAC) of the British and Foreign Bible Society, UK, in partnership with the Bible Society of Nigeria.

He was a co-winner (First place) at the 2022 NCCF Cross River State Chapter Bible Quiz at Obubra NYSC Orientation camp.

PERSONAL INTERESTS He loves church music, Christian publishing, writing and travelling.
